Gurjeet Basra, MPAS, PA-C
Gurjeet K. Basra, MPAS, PA-C is a board-certified and Texas state licensed Physician Assistant (PA). She received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2013. During her program, she was honored with the Dean’s Academic and Competitive scholarship and was recognized as a student in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & American Colleges. Prior to moving to Houston which she has called home for more than a decade, she attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, where she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.
Since being a PA, Gurjeet has committed herself to the specialty of dermatology and prior to joining our team, she worked at Bay Area Dermatology. Her clinical interests include medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. She is licensed to diagnose and treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis/eczema, fungal infections and skin cancers in both adult and pediatric patients. She also performs medical procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cryotherapy. She has received extensive training in a range of cosmetic services such as Intense pulse light (IPL) rejuvenation and Hair laser removal, sclerotherapy to treat veins, cosmetic fillers such as Juvederm, Belotero, Sculptra, Voluma, Botox and Dysport. Gurjeet is dedicated to providing compassionate and superior patient care and attends yearly dermatology conferences to provide up to date care to her patients.
She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She is also an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and was honored with the prestigious Diplomate status by the (SDPA) a distinction awarded to experienced dermatology PAs.
She resides in Friendswood with her family. During her free time, she loves to work out, enjoys musicals with her friends, learn dancing, and explore new restaurants and cuisine in Houston.
